13-Mar-2009 ACQUISITION OF OPERATIONS OF “ABC CREDIT CARD COMPANY LTD” AND “SILVEREEN FINANCE COMPANY LTD.”

The Company has informed the CSE that for the acquisition of ABC Credit Card Company Ltd, People’s Merchant Bank PLC (PMB) has created a new Company by the name of “PMB Credit Card Co.Ltd.”The consideration for the acquisition amounted to Rs.785mn. The total credit card operations, selective and quantified assets and liabilities of “ABC Credit Card Company Ltd,” were taken over by the new Company. the details of which are given below:Liabilities – Rs.mnPublic borrowings – 700Bank liabilities- 23Other liabilities- 62Total- 785Assets- Rs.mnLand and buildings- 420Credit Card balance receivables- 100Silvereen Finance Co. Kuruwita Textile Mills Ltd wishes to announce the CSE that the parent Company of its majority share holder Brandix Textile Holdings Ltd, Phoenix Ventures Ltd, has acquired 771,900 shares of Kuruwita Textile Mills Ltd at a price of Rs. 25 per share.
