Indices went up mainly due to price advance in Sri lanka Telecom. SLT closed two rupees higher at Rs37.00.

ASI was up by 22.41 points to close at 1675.21 while MPI gained 3.36 points to close at 1751.17.
Turnover was Rs 97.2 million. Over 8 million Dialog Telekom shares traded contributing Rs38.7 to total market turnover.

Central Bank of Sri Lanka forecasted lower growth rate for the current year.
