ASI gained 8.54 points to close at 1691.98 & MPI was up by 13.10 points to close at 1782.47.
Aitken Spence gained Rs 8.50 to close at Rs 320.00. Colombo Dockyard closed Rs 62.50 up by Rs 1.25. Dialog Telekom was also up by 10 cents to close at Rs 5.00.

Turnover was only Rs 56.4 million.
There were 69 positive contributors (Price gainers) while 24 losers.
