Sri Lanka Stock Indices lost few points.
Colombo ASI lost 3.22 points to close at 3131.91 while more sensitive Milanka index lost 9.08 points to end at 3546.93. Turnover was Rs 836.7 million & little bit lower when compared to previous few days. Investors were taking their profit on gains made during last few weeks.
Ceylinco Insurance Plc was up by fourteen rupees to close at Rs 225.00 while their nonvoting stocks closed three rupees higher at Rs 137.00. Ceylon Brewery Plc gained 7.50 to close at Rs 94.50. J.L.Morison & Sons Jones (Ceylon) Plc was up by 45.00 rupees to close at Rs 700.00 but on mere 100 shares.
Colombo Pharmacy Plc was down by 80.00 rupees to close at Rs 360.00. Nestle Lanka Plc was down by 10 rupees to close at Rs 410.00.
Sri Lanka’s largest & only listed cellular service provider Dialog Telekom closed unchanged at Rs 7.50.
Foreign investor purchases amounted to Rs 184.3 million while sales were Rs 195 million. There was steady increase in foreign inflows in last few days with improvement in country’s economy & recovering world economic conditions.
