Monday 23rd November ASI fell 2.27 points to close at 2931.07 while Milanka index went opposite direction and closed 11.44 points higher at 3345.00. Turnover was Rs 254.1 million.
The Bukit Darah Plc was up by Rs 17.50 to close at Rs 1797.50 while MTD Walkers Plc closed Rs 8.50 higher at Rs 116.00.
Banks Finance & insurance sector, NDB gained 2.50 to close at Rs 182.50 while Eagle Insurance Plc closed at Rs 166.25, up one rupee. Commercial Bank of Ceylon Plc ended the day 25 cents higher at Rs 176.00. Hatton National Bank lost 1.75 to close at Rs 166.75. Sampath Bank closed flat at Rs 180.00.
Colombo Dockyard which is belongs to Construction & Engineering sector closed at Rs 190.00, up Rs 2.75.
Nestle Lanka lost Rs 46.00 to close at Rs 365.00 on 100 shares. J.L. Morison Sons & Jones (Ceylon) Plc closed at Rs 630.00, down Rs 36.75.
There were 37 positive contributors & 62 negative contributors for the day. Foreign purchases were Rs 85.6 million & sales stood at Rs 128.6 million.
